Roller Blades,

So since I got new roller blades I’ve started roller blading when we go to the local library about a mile down the road to do school work after we drop Em off at school. It’s really improved my skill in roller blading because there is construction on the road we walk/skate next to so there is lots of debris on the sidewalk to avoid and there is a huge hill right before you get to the library that I usually have Mom tow me up and down, leaving and coming. (only when she offers) J

The “Duck” Pond

In my most recent article, namely “Roller Blades”, I mentioned a library. Well, next to and around the local library, are four “Duck” ponds by some canals. It’s SUPER pretty. Quite Beautiful J. Anyway, there are lots of exotic looking animals that live in this “duck” pond network. There are two ponds in front of the library. In those two ponds there is a huge colony of you average male and female ducks, but as I said, there are plenty exotic animals too, such as this miniature colony of black and white ducks as well as a few weird looking ducks that look slightly like your average male green headed duck only these have a black heads and instead of white and brown tail feathers they have black and white tail feathers. Then my favorite part, there are at least two cranes.  One I like to call the Peace Crane because it is pearly white and has very long white feathers that wave next to it in the wind and then there is a brown crane with a spot of black on its head and the tips of its wings. Then there’s this really weird looking bird I like to call the “big bird”. It’s huge, like a crow 20x its size. Imagine big bird as a black, oversized crowcrane mix. There are at least two. I'll try and put some pictures in Aprils newspaper. There are also some geese we just noticed this last time.
